In an effort to occupy myself until I visit Eppie in PA in June, I made this soft mobile. 
It is made of fabric, buttons, paint and an old curtain hanger thing.
This is 'baby eye view' of the painted fabric, jersey strings, buttons and appliquéd fabric.
